The Beginning

My interview went well.
Grandparents are here.
Didn't finish the afghan.
The End.

Mon, May. 16th, 2005, 06:42 pm

Well, good things happened today after my horrid weekend.
I passed math with a 70. Woohoo! ^__^
And I got an interview at Ann Taylor Loft! I'm so excited! Their clothes are so cute and I hope they pay well too. Maybe they'll even give me a friggin' awesome discount. I hope I get the job. I mean, I'm qualified and all, but.... I hope, I hope, I hope!
And grandma and grandpa are coming down for graduation. Happy. ^_^!

I had to update my blogger Political Rants of a Liberal. But yanno...

Why so loud...?

So today was pretty shitty. I didn't get my purse back which means that my birth control schedule is now officially fucked. Oh well.
Then I found out that I can graduate failing math but I'm basically fucked there, too, because I won't be able to go to summer school and I won't be able to get into a college. Woo, hoo. And no one would let it drop so everything was miserable. Lots of crying. Ed, amazingly, made me feel better, which was cool because he normally makes me feel worse.
There were a few good things that happened today. And by a few I mean two.
We had pasta for dinner. ^_^
And yay! for car games. This kid was inching up to check me out and so I inched up and smiled at him and we continued this inching up until I couldn't inch up any more and then he started to smile goofily at me and look at me through his door rear view mirror to check me out. He was cute. Not my type, but cute, and it made me smile and brightened my day after my suicidal contemplations.
I wonder if he thought I was a natural blond... *ponder*

On the nomination for 'cutest couple'...

So we discovered Friday, which was a pleasent surprise. ^_^
After a pretty bad day for me at school we went up to get Ed's tux tried on and that was a disaster which wasn't surprising because anything that fits him in the shoulders is generally for really fat people and anything that fits his gigantic quads won't fit his waist. But his mum decided to just alter it herself, which she is amazing at after years of practice making things to fit her when she was younger and clothing just wasn't findable for anyone who wasn't average.
So then we went to RuSans and since I had already eaten at Taco Mac with my parents I only had two tempura zuchinnies. (However that's spelled.)
Then I got to wake up at nine in the morning to spend four hours getting my hair done. It took two hours just to put the foils in because of how thick my hair is. ^^; It looks super different and totally awesome now. I will have to change pictures - once I get my digital camera back...
So then I got my nail fixed and helped Ed get his car dropped off at Haley's house and successfull was left with only twenty minutes to get completely read for prom - make-up, dress, everything. Thanks a million, Ed.
But it ended up okay. Go to the picture party, yay for pictures and that was all fun and dandy. So the limo bus comes and we're on our way to dinner and the bus breaks down. It just dies, in the middle of the road. Oh, yes, I'm serious. So we all get out and people are honking and shit and everyone's mad and paniced but me, really, and Ed calls his dad who comes with jumper cables and parents are coming left and right to drive us to the restuarant.
So we get to Sugo's sans the bus and have a nice meal. We sat across from Mary Katherine and Ku - who are both awesome - and had a pretty good time chowing nice yummy Italian/Greek food. The bus is finally operational and - interesting fact incase this happens to you - putting a diseal engine in idel will rechange the battery so the battery charged up again and we were on our way to prom.
Prom was prom. I got pictures with everyone I wanted to get pictures with. I got a lot of compliments, which was difficult because I often didn't compliment people back because I don't really have the ability to compliment when it's unwarrented. A lot of people also said that when I came up to them they had no idea who I was because of my hair. Haha. That cracked me up. It's taken some getting used to. I'm still a bit surprised when I look in the mirror. I got pictures with everyone I wanted to get pictures with.
It was all good.
So the bus took us back to Haley's. Her house was totally insane. She has an awesome pool/hot tub/everything. Almost as rockin' as Sera's. Haha. So we swam a bit and then found out that they were going to be making everyone go to sleep at 2:30 and basically locking us into our respective floors. Ed and I started to get ansy since we're the same way about feeling trapped somewhere and so were Brittany and Beau. And then McCall and Mark. So we all left, after much ado, and went over to Brittany's where we just chilled and started watching National Treasure. I fell alseep early on in the movie and everyone began to follow suite, I have a feeling. Apparently Ed snored something awful but I never woke up and he was right next to me. So I decided we could successfully live together. ^_^ It was nice to wake up with him there. I had a lot of fun just sleeping next to him.
So I woke him up by kissing his cheek and ears (so cute!) and we chilled around there for a bit. Mark and McCall had left earlier so it was just Beau and Brittany and us. Which was cool. I don't think they really broke up. I just think they had a bad arguement. I don't want them to, either. I think they're adorable, she just needs to learn when not to bitch at him because he can tend towards being a push-over.
We eventually left where upon I discovered I could not find my purse with practically my whole life in it: Liscense, SS card, health insurance card, birth control pills, and digital camera. Hoping Haley found it and will bring it to me tomorrow.... I can't really just skip a whole month in birth control pills nor can I do without a SS card... Dumb of me to bring, yes, but I was really rushed and just threw most of the contents of my wallet in there. *sigh*
But so i got me mum some tulips - not the best flower arrangement she's ever recieved from me but I'm pretty broke. She was pretty bitchy today, too.... *ponder*
Well, I'm out except for to say I started a blogger so I didn't have to post political stuff here any more and upset anyone. ^_^

I've not been this angry in a long time.
Fuck it.
I'm ready for this day to be over - NOW.

Thu, May. 5th, 2005, 09:11 pm
Woot.

Went to AP Lit test today. Fun. Had a great lunch that really motivated me for math. ^_^ Finally buckling down two weeks from finals....
Didn't find a purse or earrings but I did buy $25 worth of make-up.... I'm not even sure if it's going to look good - but oh well, what the hell? Right?
The guy at Lense Crafters told me I should now get a job at White House Black Market and I might actually go apply after I get my hair dyed and I'm looking good. Haha.

A Bit-O the "Left-Wing Nonsense"....
Downloading 'when the president talks to God'... FINALLY. Oh wow, is it hilarious. Jay Leno, on his show.... See this awesome song LIVE! Well, it's not really THAT good of a song musically, but it's so what we needed. I can't believe they let this air. It literally blows my mind.
But anyway. In the world of bumperstickers, today I saw one that said: "How to Annoy a Liberal: Work Hard and Be Happy" and that kind of got me angry but not real angry because then Ed chimes in and says "How to Annoy a Republican: Tell the Truth" - which was a bit of a shocker out of the guy who "doesn't care about politics" and likes to pin me down on it in social situations... But I thought it was pretty funny. The original sticker was just annoying because I know they're thinking that all 'liberals' (which that word has been so twisted it's not even funny) do is whine and complain to get someone else to do things for them with their 'give away' programs and such nonsense as they'd like to see it. Grr.
And I saw a more uplifting bumpersticker: "War is NOT Pro-life" ^_^ I gleed for a bit over that one.
But now I have to try to do these online applications. I really don't get it at all, so it shouldn't be much fun....

Mon, May. 2nd, 2005, 08:08 pm

I had a happy moment today.
I was at an intersection waiting to turn left onto one of the busiest roads around with six lanes of traffic - Barrett Parkway. And all of a sudden, my heart stops. A daddy goose, a mommy goose, and all these little baby geese are crossng the road catty-corner through the intersection. I watched as cars slowed down and all the geese made it across safely.

It was almost metaphorical...

50 Question Thingy )

An AWESOME DAY!

I had the most fucking fantabulouse day ever!
So it started off with school and what not, no biggie, and in fourth period Mrs. Uitti announced she'd let us have a notecard on the test. SCORE. I totally get the stuff but I can't do it without looking at my notes and now I get the notes with me on the test. I hope I'm going to ace it.
Then I had to take a miserable AP Art History make up test - an hour of writing on two questions. The first question from the AP Test was sooooo easy I totally could've written a book on it. Well, there was a bit that was a little iffy, but for me, it was amazing. But the second question, the one she wrote, was so impossible! There were so many restrictions! You had to have a three part thesis, three narrative pieces, all from different time periods and you had to list the date of the works within a hundred years, you had to know the materials, the cultural signifigance, and tie them all together somehow. The AP Question was seriously: name two works, one not from the European tradition, which show the body, and the cultural signifigance of the way the body is portrayed. Sooo much easier. Bleh. I figured as much.
And then, when I called home to have Emma pick me up, I couldn't get her on the home line and I was freaking out because of Powder Puff and I forgot my cell phone so I didn't have her cell number and so on and so forth but when I walked out of the building, she was walking in, and so it was all okay. ^_^ Turns out she had to drive Ed home because he locked his keys in the car. I have no right to laugh at him though.
So I get home, get ready for Powder Puff (football where the girls vs each other - Frosh vs. Sohpomores and Juniors vs. Seniors) and I was totally not looking forward to that - AT ALL. But I sucked it up and got out there. I got to see Ed because he was coaching the 8th graders on the lower field where we were practicing and that was happy. ^_^ And I was really nervous about Jamie, Ed's ex, being a real bitch, but she was totally awesome about me being center. ^_^
So we got in our positions and went up to play. Ed gave me some water before the game started. ^_^ So sweet.
The first play Merdith the Brick Wall came towards me and I went towards her and that was the end. I didn't expect her to be so f-ing strong! I don't know why, she's 6 foot 3 and wide to match but I didn't expect it and I practically bounced off of her and hit the dirt hard. But I got up, got that dirt of my shoulders, and went on to a massively fucking awesome victory! 42-0, Seniors WIN! In all out four years, we've never won once. ;_; But it was totally awesome. I never thought I'd have so much fun. I'm sore as hell, and exhausted, but it was totally worth it all the way!! Everyone was so tight and nice to each other. Everyone was so totally happy when we won it was worth the grass stains on my skin. ^^; I can so see why people play sports. I might even try out for a club team at some point. Maybe soccer or something that doesn't take a whole ton of skill.
After the game I went down to talk to Ed and he said he was so proud of me. ^_^ He said he got to watch a bit of the game. Which was good. Jamie caught every single one of my snaps. ^_^ So I was proud of myself, too. But it always makes me happy when he says it. Especially about something like football which is so close to his heart. He gave me one of his really happy melt-my-heart smiles, too.
And I got to watch him coach some of the 8th graders and it was probably the most adorable thing I've ever seen in my whole life. Maybe not adorable, but yes, very cute. He would have to squat to talk to them. ^_^ And he told them his stories about Harris and the other guys he was up against.
So I was pretty much grinning like a lunatic when I was done with the day. And I still am, a little.
This was probably one of the most awesome days I've had in a really long time.
^______^!

Mon, Apr. 25th, 2005, 09:01 pm

So maybe all those dumb 'repost this for a miracle or you'll be sorry' things aren't lying!
Today right after school I went up to the alterations place and she got me some straps and is going to let it out around the hips for only $30. Woohoo!!
So then I head on over to Smoothie King (which was closed...?) and so I go to get a smoothy at Carvel where I make small chat with the manager who wants me to work there.
Then I head on over to Powder Puff practice, which stupid Adrienne did not show up for although she's promo-ing it everywhere. But that's okay. Me, April, Lindsey, McCall, Ed and the four freshman were fun anyway. Especially when we all tackled Ed. ^_^ However I had locked my keys in the car. But I thought I took the spares out after the trip to Savannah and it was going to be okay. Oops, mum can't find them anywhere. So after our practice I wait around to get picked up by Mike and it's a long story but we call AAA and mum thinks she has a spare for the spares and we end up trying to get a coat hanger through the door to push the unlocker from the inside but that didn't work so Mike and I finally call it quits and head home when the AAA calls us and so Mike does this massively illegal turn in the middle of three lanes of traffic, there wasn't even a median!, and we head back and when we get there Mike gets a call from mum saying she found the spare spare so we waited for her to get up there and talked to the AAA guy about how he was an ex car theif. Pretty hot. Turns out my spares were in my car and that was pretty not awesome. But it all worked out okay in the end. Minus I have a ton of homework... ;_;
Yup.
I'm wishing Edly were here right now... I can think of some lovely delicious thing to do to him... ^_~
